If you are installing solar at your home or business in the City of Cape Town municipality, it is crucial that you register your installation with the City BEFORE you have it installed.

Why must my Solar PV System comply?

1. Municipality workers might be electrocuted if your PV system is feeding into grids which they believe to be off.
2. Poorly installed PV Systems may cause household fires.
3. The Safety and Integrity of the entire grid may be compromised if your installation is not compliant.
4. Penalties(service fees) and possible disconnections of your electricity for non compliance.
